A Warm Welcome

Welcome, and thank you for taking the time to explore our project.

How do we respond to, and change, a world increasingly filled with individualism, division, and hatred, where day after day we lose touch with the beauty of our collective and individual human experience?

The Love.Give.Forgive. Project seeks to create that change by providing a space where we can, together, re-encounter and amplify our most beautiful human instincts and rekindle the best versions of ourselves and our communities.

We use the power of poetry to encourage shared reflection and dialogue on the lives, communities, and world we want to build, where love, generosity, and forgiveness toward one another are central values. Every two weeks we release a new poem and recitation, here, by email, and in our social media channels, fostering a conversation around such themes.

We start the project with my own poems and will, over time, add other poets—their poems along with recitations. For instance, we are currently researching, for potential future collections, the work of the Sufi poet, Jalāl al-Dīn Muḥammad Rūmī, the Middle Eastern poets Yehuda Amichai and Mahmoud Darwish, and indigenous poets from the Amazon region, among others.

We invite you to read our poems, watch their recitations, join our online communities, and participate in our movement, engaging in whatever way feels most natural and helpful to you.

Whether you choose to share a reflection, an emotion, or a simple observation, please know that your voice is heard and is a greatly valued part of this journey.

Warm regards,
